Virginia Hamra - System Administrator & Cloud Operations

About Me

I studied for a Bachelor's degree in Music, but made a career shift after discovering my passion for solving problems through code. As a self-taught programmer, I built my first websites independently, which led to my first role in tech and, five years ago, a significant career move into DevOps Engineering.

My professional background is rooted in cloud technologies, infrastructure-as-code, and platform administration. I'm highly motivated to continuously learn and stay up to date with the ever-evolving tech landscape. I'm passionate about sharing knowledge and strive to be a valuable contributor to every team I work with.

Before joining Xebia, I worked at a startup as a GitHub Consultant, where I led GitHub migrations and delivered training to help teams successfully onboard and adopt GitHub best practices.

Outside of work, I enjoy composing music, cycling around Rotterdam, attending live gigs, reading, and spending quality time with my loved ones.
